Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

Erectile dysfunction is a condition in which a man is unable to achieve or maintain an erection during sexual activity. It is often associated with other factors, such as stress, anxiety, and fatigue. In Chinese medicine, the ability to achieve an erection is thought to reflect the state of the Kidneys and the distribution of qi and blood. Benign prostatic hyperplasia is a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland that often occurs in men over 50 and can cause problems with urination. In Chinese medicine, the prostate is considered part of the Kidney organ system and its health is influenced by the Liver, Spleen, and Lungs. Impediments to qi and blood movement in the lower body are thought to contribute to BPH.
