"Calm the Palace Pill with Cattle Gallstone," (An-Gong-Niu-Huang-Wan) also known as the Bos and Curcuma Formula, Bezoar Resurrection Pills, or Bolus of Calculus Bovis for Resurrection, is a traditional Chinese medicine formulation composed of various herbs and substances.
Ingredients and their respective actions include:

Calculus Bovis (Niu Huang): It clears heat from heart and liver channels, relieves toxicity, extinguishes wind, dislodges phlegm, and stops tremors, spasms, and convulsions.

Cornu Rhinoceri (Xi Jiao): It enters the Ying and Xue levels to clear heat from heart, pericardium, liver, and stomach channels, cools blood, relieves toxicity, and calms Shen.

Moschus (She Xiang): It aromatically opens orifices and enters all twelve channels to revive Shen.

Rz. Coptidis (Huang Lian) and Rx. Scutellariae (Huang Qin): These ingredients relieve toxicity, clear heart fire, drain fire, and relieve irritability.

Fr. Gardeniae (Zhi Zi): It clears heat and eliminates irritability.

Realgar (Xiong Huang): It dislodges phlegm, relieves toxicity, helps open orifices, and drains turbid phlegm.

Borneolum (Bing Pian): It opens orifices, revives Shen, and clears heat.

The formula works to clear heat, relieve toxicity, dislodge phlegm, open orifices, calm the Shen, and resuscitate. It is used to treat various conditions ranging from high fever, restlessness, dizziness, impaired consciousness, and coma to conditions like acute encephalitis, acute meningitis, pneumonia, insomnia, schizophrenia, and even AIDS/HIV among others.
However, it's important to note that the formula is contraindicated during pregnancy and certain substances, like Cinnabaris (Zhu Sha), should not be taken in large doses or heated.
